Testimonials

Our happiness comes from knowing we have given our clients the best holiday possible. Below are just a few of the testimonials we have received over the years.

A lot of our business comes from recommendations and glowing testimonials in trip reports on the internet, for which we are most grateful.  Many of our clients travel with us again and again.  All this helps to reaffirm our success in delivering a holiday which lives up to our clients expectations.

Like most birders I like to spend time going through trip reports to try and get ideas for future birding holidays that appeal to me, whether it be to new countries or exploring different habitats in countries I have previously visited. One such report I read gave a glowing reference to a company trading as Wild About Travel. I had not heard of this company so as it happens in December 2012 I had planned a private trip to Southern India and wanted to extend my stay round Delhi, Bharatpur and Chambal for a few days so I contacted Jo at Wild About Travel to arrange this short extension with guides transport etc. I was delighted with how the whole trip went and the quality of the guides and transport arrangements, so I had no hesitation in planning my next trip to India with Wild About Travel to the North East in December 2013 which Jo assisted in designing  for me to meet my objectives on the birding front. I can report the organisation on the ground was to the same standard as my first trip with good guides  specialising in their respective regions of India. My next trip is in the planning with them and I cannot make a better recommendation than this!

After having approached several Indian wildlife travel organisers we found Wild About Travel on the internet. A couple of mails later it was clear that Jo was really interested in her customers, was very well informed and could arrange everything we asked for. She even arranged improvements we didn’t ask for! At Ranthampore and Corbett we were rewarded with two exciting tiger sightings, something no-one can guarantee. The bird guide, Ranbir, who accompanied us for a day at Bharatpur was also the professional bird guide who accompanied us to the foothills of the Himalaya. A dedicated perfectionist who wasn’t satisfied until his guests had seen what they came for,the Ibisbill being one of them. Everything was so fantastically organised and India so diverse that we have decided to ask Jo to arrange another Indian trip for us this year, to Rajasthan and Gujarat. Last but not least, the hygiene in the hotels was so good that the infamous Delhi belly kept well out of our way.

We had a really great time in India and a lot of fun with all our guides and drivers and other people we met on the road. The knowledge of Ranbir about birds and the way he guided us the first 8 days was a joy and impressive. We saw a lot of birds (265) and about 25 mammal-species. Most impressive is the fact that birds and animals seem not to be so scared of humans. That means that there are good opportunities for taking photos and observing as well. I made about 6000 photos!!

One magical moment was at Bandhavgarh where we saw our first Tiger. This 2 year old female changed course in the forest and walked just in front of us passing by the jeep. We like India so much that we certainly will be back there. I don’t know what I will be doing next winter, but right now I feel very much for going there again next winter. You did your work very well and we felt comfortable about the way you arranged everything!!!! I look forward to receiving details and travelling again soon.
